About

I am a garden and landscape designer based in London, creating wildlife-friendly gardens for residential and commercial clients in the UK and abroad.

I am fascinated by garden history and the link between the built environment and nature. I grew up in a family of architects and art historians, splitting my time between the US and Europe.

I have travelled extensively, seeking out important gardens across the world, from Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water in Pennsylvania, to Monet's Giverny in France, to the Golden Temple in Kyoto. I have camped and hiked across wild landscapes as diverse as the Yellowstone and Joshua Tree national parks, the Alps, the karst landforms of South China, the rainforests of Costa Rica.

My first career was in communications, working for art galleries and museums, including the Institute of Contemporary Arts, Hayward Gallery and the British Museum, and arts publisher Lund Humphries, promoting books on art, architecture and design. My time immersed in this world continues to influence my designs.

I discovered my passion for horticulture through volunteering for the garden club at my local primary school and during lockdown decided to shift my focus to a more environmentally minded career. I received my Garden Design Diploma from Capel Manor, Enfield in June 2024, after 3 years of studying. At the same time I trained as a gardener through the WFGA’s WRAG (Work and Retrain as a Gardener) Scheme, working with Garden Associates on award-winning communal gardens in central London. I completed my year’s training in October 2024, and continue to work for the company part-time.

I am thrilled to be able to combine my love of art and design with horticulture through working on a mixture of private and public landscape design projects.
